1. Present and future conjugation

These conversations are meant to be translated at home and to be practiced in the class. When practiced the conversations are not expected to be reproduced exactly, but to be created drawing on the structure and the vocabulary and going beyond them.

Conversation: எங்கே போறீங்க?

Goal: Practicing present and future forms of verbs.

 

Give in Tamil the conversation below. 

 

Raja: Where are you going?

Sarah: Going to a restaurant.

Raja: What will you eat there?

Sarah: Will eat dose.

Raja: Will dose be available there?

Sarah: Will be available

Raja: I will also come / Let me also come.

(Help: restaurant, hotel ‘ஒட்டல்’; dose (a Tamil snack) ‘தோசை’; also ‘உம்’

 

 

Give in Tamil the following reporting to a friend. 

 

I am going to Raja’s house in the evening. His mother will be there. Dose will be available. She will give us dose. We will eat. Then we will watch a Tamil movie. Will sing Tamil songs.
