Pronunciation
In fast speech, போகலாமா may be pronounced as போலாமா and வரலாமா as வர்லாமா. சிகாகோவுக்கு may be pronounced as சிகாகோக்கு, where the dative suffix - உக்கு is –க்கு with nouns that end in a long vowel.
Contrastive stress is used on நீங்க in நீங்க சொல்லுங்க. This puts emphasis on நீங்க to exclude the other.
As with the dative suffix -க்கு, the words இண்ணைக்கு ‘today’, நாளைக்கு ‘tomorrow’ are pronounced இண்ணெக்கி, நாளெக்கி
